Southern Ceramic Group Show

We look forward to welcoming the Southern Ceramic Group to the corner this weekend the 17th of May. 14 members are bringing along their passion for clay and are taking over the gallery for the weekend. The group formed nearly 50 years ago, and was started by a handful of clay enthusiasts in 1975. Today there are hundreds of members that are from Hampshire and surrounding counties.

Our resident artist Berk has created a buzz in the gallery this week with his new collection. Creating spray paint pieces by using the reverse glass process, he brings a cool abstract design and captures a colourful display. 

Berk uses his skills in street art graffiti to apply on the glass surface and build up layers. He always uses lots of colours and layers and the end result is very unique.

The Corner Collective. welcomes Matt Dixon and his partner Jeannie McConville to the gallery for a special show called 'Prints and Pieces'.

One of the biggest highlights this year when it comes to local street art has been seeing Pogo’s work across town. His latest piece in Old Portsmouth had an amazing response from the public. The detail in the work at Capstan House on Tower Street really draws your attention to his skills. Creating the piece for the Portsmouth Paint Festival back in September, it is one of the most photographed pieces of art to come out of the first ever street art festival here in Portsmouth.
